The Four Desires is a coaching process focused on finding a life of purpose, prosperity, happiness and freedom. In today’s world of technology, people are not communicating as well as they did in the past. Personal relationships, the most rewarding measure of success in a person’s life, are suffering. The Four Desires is a process that one can learn from again and again, continually redefining our true path in life, the one that is meant for each of us.
This year Mirella Garigen and Lisa Hafner will be partnering to co-teach The Four Desires Retreat in two locations in the spring and fall. Mirella and Lisa are Four Desires Trainers. They learned to offer this training from Rod Stryker, the creator of The Four Desires and author of the book, workbook and companion meditation cd. Mirella has been studying with Yogarupa, Rod Stryker, since 2013 and Lisa has studied with Yogarupa since 2008. Lisa and Mirella got to know each other well during their assistantship training for The Four Desires throughout 2017. They found not only did they share a love of these teachings, but also in their approach to offering the teachings. Both experienced the need for more time in nature and in reflection during their own process of this work. Now, they look for serene retreat environments for The Four Desires trainings and they do their best to also provide Ayurvedic meals to support this process. Their goal is to teach in these settings:
1. To nurture time and space away from the everyday 2. To provide more time in the process to support letting go and surrender 3. To be surrounded by beauty and inspiration each day, in a variety of ways
Please join them for one of these retreats for a life changing opportunity.
“This was my first experience with yoga and meditation. I was drawn to this workshop because I wanted to start a children’s Art Studio. After the first week, I was creating flyers for Ki-Doodles and my classes started to unfold and fill up. The Moon, Sun & Fire workshop was not intimidating and I met all my goals. Following this workshop I did The Four Desires Training with Mirella. Months later I’m still meditating every day. I have done therapy for years, which often felt invasive. With yoga and meditation, I have found a much gentler approach to problem solving, goal setting and making real life changes.”

“By attending Mirella Garigen's Four Desires workshop in 2017, I found a new sense of peace in my life. I learned about new tools to realize a freedom from negativity that I have struggled with all my life. This liberation allows me to not only shine in my own light, but enlightened by the light of those around me. At the age of 62 I am truly free to shine in my own radiance leaving behind a world filled with negativity, anger and resentment. Free at last. Thank you so much Mirella for this life changing gift.”

“I wanted to thank you for spending one on one time with me, after class, to talk through what was unfolding for me. It has been invaluable for me as these two weeks have gone by. I appreciate your time and guidance." Feedback following completion of The Four Desires: "I feel like I am headed in a positive and sustainable direction. I've been really overwhelmed by life transitions the last 8 years including children and aging parents. My life hasn't been bad, but stagnant for my own energy, growth and happiness. I feel like the training gave me a great set of tools to re-energize, start healing myself, and the momentum and motivation to set and achieve goals for my own growth and happiness.”

Ayurveda is the natural and perfect compliment to the intense and rewarding process of The Four Desires. The Ayurvedic inspired meals you will enjoy in this retreat will deeply support you as you delve into the work of discovering your Soul’s purpose. Ayurveda literally means The Science of Life and is the sister science to yoga, therefore complementary to all forms of yoga practice. The basic premise of Ayurveda is that we all come into the world with a predominant elemental constitution. Our particular constitution determines and affects both our physiology and psychology. Ayurveda peers into the nature of life through the wisdom of Mother Nature herself. As a philosophy of life, Ayurveda teaches us to live in harmony with the basic laws of nature. As a complete medical science, Ayurveda offers a holistic guide map for awakening our healing potential. The underlying prescription of Ayurveda is quite simple: recognize the power of self-healing and use food as medicine to support that healing. According to Ayurveda, health is a continuous and participatory process that embraces all aspects of life: physical, mental, emotional, behavioral, spiritual, familial, social and universal. Achieving balance on all levels of being is the true measure of vibrant health.
