Print brings a sense of texture and touch in a way that online media does not. As technology further advances, print will not be lost—instead it will become a luxury item that delivers quality and gives permanence to your project and business.
We developed a vibrant, clean, and elegant representation of the Moab Music Festival using bold colors to complement the amazingly unique landscapes of Moab. We worked with Leslie Tomkins and Laura Brown to choose photographs that would capture the essence of music in concert with the landscape, evoking the experience the audience would have at the concert. The result was a sophisticated look comparable to programs of the local symphony and opera.
The program made such as impression on festival patrons that many asked if they could purchase one. Each season we will develop a fresh theme and consistently tie it across all platforms; growing and expanding the brand of the Moab Music Festival— it will resonate with the audience and continue to inspire them.
I wanted to tell you how wonderful it is to work with you. I so appreciate and enjoy your talent, flexibility, receptiveness and upbeat manner to name a few qualities. Yesterday I thanked Laura for hiring you and will again. Thanks Laura! I also told her you were the first person we’ve worked with who has had such a great first draft i.e. been so close to where we’d end up. So thank you and thank you both for finding each other! - Leslie Tomkins, Artistic DirectorNext project
The Town of Tourism Comittee of Pagosa Springs hired IDP through the bid process. We had the pleasure of working closely with Jennifer Green and Gail Volmer on the Pagosa Springs Travel Planner. The detail in this piece is impeccable. Jennifer and Gail have an equally attentive eye for precision as IDP. The guide connects to their brand, which speaks to the people of Pagosa. Each layout includes vibrant photos capturing the essence of the potential experiences in Pagosa Springs and neighboring areas. There is also a layering effect of wood and water found throughout the spreads. Pagosa Springs is known for its natural healing waters of the hot springs as well as their wooded areas and wilderness. A potential visitor told me she felt as if she was already on vacation while she was viewing the guide. It would be difficult to pick up this travel planner and decide not to visit.
Next projectWe were honored to design Community Hospital’s first Annual Report. Our goal was to help them share their story with the community. Various stories of the hospital were shared alongside captivating images, utilizing a clean design that reflected a solid image of the organization. A centerfold map highlighted current locations and future growth. The staff at Community Hospital has a strong sense of teamwork which was influential in our design and established an effective report. It is our true desire to spend time with our clients and work with them to create their ideal product as we did with Community Hospital.
We needed an annual report to help tell the story of our organization to our stakeholders. IDP is a stellar company that produces exceptional results for their clients. We look forward to working with them on future projects. - Karen Martsolf Director of Marketing, Community HospitalNext project
The CMU Foundations’ Presidents’ Report was our first project with Colorado Mesa University (CMU). The annual report is a 16-page document that resides in The Maverick Magazine, designed by Jeremy Smith, Michael Mansheim and the marketing team at CMU. The President’s Report is also utilized as a stand-alone piece. We were brought in to give a fresh and unique perspective on the piece. We structured the imagery, typography, and stories bringing the message to life. We were successful in developing an effective fundraising tool that has a welcoming and engaging feel of a magazine—inspiring former students to support their alma mater.
The Report was a great success and a supportive client relationship was built. We are looking forward to collaborating on more projects with The CMU Foundation and the marketing team in the future.
We were so fortunate to work with Mirella and Amber. IDP is extremely professional, creative, and added so much value to our report. Even with tight deadlines, they was responsive and truly went above and beyond. We had high expectations and IDP hit the mark every time. I highly recommend them, and am looking forward to working with IDP again on other projects. - Peggy Lamm CEO, Colorado Mesa University FoundationlNext project
The Epigrams booklet is a small treasure that documents the quotes that Waite Philips lived by and many that he wrote himself. It includes the story of how he donated several acres of land to the Boy Scouts of America at Philmont Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico. The history of his success is included, as well as the tragedy he witnessed as a child—losing his twin brother Wiate, at age 19, and the successful, determined life he chose to live following.
Next projectThis leadership journal is a great tool developed by Tom Giugni, in collaboration with the Philmont Scout Ranch. Philmont is a High-Adventure Base for the Boy Scouts of America. Each of the participants, of the National Advanced Youth Leadership Experience and the Philmont Leadership Challenge, receive this journal on their first day at camp. The journal helps the participants focus on building their vision. It includes specific exercises as well as a place for documentation and reflection of their leadership experience. Finally, the journal is a tool used to develop their leadership commitment. The journal is printed on weather-proof paper, to hold up in adverse conditions.
Next projectCannon Design Today exists as a forum for sharing information that will help Cannon Design employees better collaborate with their colleagues, communicate with their clients and promote the success of the firm. Cannon Design promotes a strong sense of community. Mirella understood this well and was able to capture a professional image, while keeping it warm and inviting to the firm. She established the initial grid, look and feel for the project and then art directed another designer to complete the piece.
Mirella redesigned the grid, magazine components and layouts (in 2008) in collaboration with Kevin Opp and Cate Kudek while working for Cannon Design, IDP utilizes the same approach.
Next projectThe Chicago Historical Society asked us to design their Third Annual Corporate Breakfast invitation. In this significant year, they were recognizing golden anniversaries, such as twenty-five, fifty, and some members were celebrating seventy-five year anniversaries with the society. Our goal was to immediately convey a sense of history with a contemporary flare for such a prominent celebration. It turned out to be one of their most highly attended events.
Next projectMatrika Yoga LLC is dedicated to educating, preserving, and progressing the great teachings of yoga that originated in the Indian subcontinent and have been transformed in the West. Placing the teachings in context of Indian history, Matrika refocuses them into our own culture and society. The journal, Matrika Yoga, is a forum for art, fiction, poetry, music, and anything that inspires and evokes the possibility of experience.
For the first time in the West, yoga was brought into a completely new conversation. Matrika Yoga, the logotype and mark, is formally treated in a contemporary font, Din, to represent this new approach.
Next projectA partnering company with one of our clients, PureGreen, EnviroControl needed to make a strong impression at an upcoming trade show. First, they wanted a small, foldable pamphlet that would not only tout the benefits of working with them, but would also serve as a helpful monthly service calendar.
Second, they also needed environmental graphics for the actual tradeshow booth. This velcro wall serves as a great visual of imagery that incorporates the various types of clients EnviroControl serves as well as informs the viewer with pertinent, brand messaging.
